Trying to kick start posts…

Still waiting…

While we wait for the other two to FINISH POSTING, ALREADY, another 30 Day Photo thingy has begun with some colleagues at work: Photo Shoe Box. I know! You can stop tapping your fingers now.

David Day 30: Self-portrait

Well I managed to get to the finish line first! Upon scrutiny of the 30 photo assignments, I have concluded that they are a bit self-centered; four self-portraits, what you wore and your shoes. I didn’t notice this before. But I’m done now.

The other two can fill in and bury my photos with their entries and that’s a good thing as they are artistically better than I. So I look forward to their posts. I did get to use another iPhone App for these shots: IncrediBooth. So much phone the iFun is!

David Day 29: Black and white

Another hot air balloon flew by our back yard this afternoon. This one managed to stay aloft. Interesting seeing one after 4 PM as it was quite warm today.

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY for me! Ha!

David Day 28: Flowers

Singular? I broke out the macro lens (a manual Vivtar 100mm F3.5 macro) to frame this flower, one of many that Liz picked up at the nursery yesterday and planted in a pot out front.

David Day 27: From a distance

Futbol! In Gilbert, Arizona. Freestone park to be exact. Wonderful weather today… You are going to have to click on this one to see the action, as it is “from a distance” and I do as I’m told.

David Day 26: Close-up

I could interpret this one in many ways. I chose to walk “up close” to this mural in the parking lot (if you call 8 spaces a lot) in back of Barrio Cafe, one of our new favorite places in central Phoenix.

David Day 25: Something Pink

Alright. This would have been easier if I actually owned some cute shorts with the word “Pink” on them, but I did find this. We have a couple of Poinsettias still doing well since December and their leaves turn from a vivid green to brilliant red. Along the way you see a leaf like this in transition with “Pink”!

I guess I could be wrong and this is part of the plant’s demise. That’s why I take photos instead of studying horticulture.

David Day 24: Animal

Lots of these animals out on the pond nearby. This one was shaking off the moisture after emerging from the pool.
